At the Tahoe Earth Institute, we believe that sustainability is more than a scientific or technological problem. We’re interested in the deeper structural and cultural challenges that underlie global environmental change – and in creative, community-engaged solutions that get at the roots of these issues. 

Through inspiring people to see the world differently and co-designing creative sustainability strategies with key stakeholders, we believe we can build the foundation for long-lasting environmental solutions – in Tahoe and in the broader world.
